The Rowe Family – Matt, Chrissy & Cameron
Matt & Chrissy are high school sweethearts who grew up in South Florida and currently reside in Wesley Chapel, a small town near Tampa, FL. We relocated to Tampa in 2005 when Chrissy was diagnosed with Leukemia (CML). We moved to be closer to Chrissy’s sister (Michele Judge) and start treatment at Moffitt Cancer Center. Treatment is going well and Chrissy’s health is stable.
We are a Gator Family as Matt and Cameron are both Graduates of the University of Florida Rinker School of Building Construction (1995, 2021). Beyond the Gators, we love Maggie Valley, reno projects, The Miami Dolphins, our goldendoodle Phin, paddleboarding, and traveling with Friends.
We found Maggie Valley over 20 years ago when visiting friends from college. As it turns out our best friends also knew of the Valley and visiting in the summer quickly became a tradition. Over the years we grew to love the valley and decided to purchase a vacation home (Valley View) in 2020. We fell in love with Valley View (formerly called The Big Chill) the minute we saw it, and new it was a perfect fit. We had friends and family reach out offering to rent it from us, and our busy work schedule didn’t allow us much time to visit so we decided to list it for short term rental.
Valley View took off as a short-term rental and was booked during the times we wanted to use it. So when our Realtor told us about a smaller house (Elk’s Meadow) that was available in Crockett’s Meadow, we decided to purchase it. We were drawn to this house because it was smaller, easier, and we love the neighborhood. Around this time Chrissy’s sister Michele was hearing all about Maggie and came to check it out. Turns out she loved it as much as we did and starting shopping for a house. We were both excited when the house (Longhorn Lodge) across the street from Elk’s Meadow became available and Michele was able purchase it in 2022. We are just starting to enjoy visiting together and sharing memories with not only our friends, but also our family.
